Lunedì 3 marzo presso la Casa Generalizia delle Suore della Carità sono arrivate in visita le ragazze della scuola della Fondazione Thouret di Tarxien (Malta) gestita dalle Suore della Carità.
Le ragazze sono venute in visita a Roma per tre giorni, l’ultimo dei quali hanno fatto tappa alla Casa Generalizia per partecipare a due laboratori preparati per loro dalle SdC e da Eco-Charity Garden, l’uno per illustrare loro le iniziative della Fondazione Thouret e l’altro per presentare il progetto di ecologia integrale di ECG.
Due delle volontarie di ECG hanno guidato le ragazze attraverso diverse attività per promuovere i valori di collaborazione, attenzione per il prossimo e rispetto dell’ambiente che sono i cardini del progetto.
Le ragazze si sono mostrate molto interessate e si sono rivelate già molto sensibili ai temi ambientali, a conferma che le nuove generazioni, più impattate dai cambiamenti climatici rispetto alle precedenti, stanno sviluppando una maggiore consapevolezza dei pericoli che vengono dall’inquinamento, dal cambiamento climatico e dai problemi sociali che ne derivano.
Come Eco-Charity Garden auspichiamo che tale consapevolezza si possa estendere a sempre più persone di ogni fascia di età e che le nuove generazioni e tutti coloro che già sono sensibili e si spendono per il bene comune possano essere di esempio per tutti gli altri.

Girls from the Thouret school in Tarxien visiting the Generalate
On Monday 3 March, the girls of the Thouret Foundation school in Tarxien (Malta), run by the Sisters of Charity, visited the Generalate of the Sisters of Charity .
The girls spent three days in Rome, the last of which was spent at the Generalate, where they took part in two workshops organised by the SdC and Eco-Charity Garden, one to explain the initiatives of the Thouret Foundation and the other to present the ECG’s integral ecology project.
Two of ECG’s volunteers led the girls through various activities to promote the values of cooperation, concern for others and respect for the environment, which are the cornerstones of the project.
The girls showed great interest and were already very sensitive to environmental issues, confirming that the new generations, more affected by climate change than their predecessors, are developing a sense of responsibility and a greater awareness of the dangers of pollution, climate change and the resulting social problems.
As Eco-Charity Garden, we hope that this awareness will spread to more and more people of all ages, and that the new generations and all those who are already sensitive and committed to the common good can set an example for all others.
