Sabato 29 novembre si è svolto il primo incontro di formazione specifico per le volontarie di Eco-Charity Garden sulle tecniche di eco-pedagogia, fondata sui principi teorizzati e studiati dal filosofo e pedagogista Paulo Freire fondata su:
– rispetto per la natura
– diritti umani universali
– giustizia economica
– cultura della pace
Suor Mirna Farah, responsabile del progetto Eco-Charity Garden, ha diretto la formazione, illustrando passo per passo i tre percorsi di Eco-Charity Garden per i più giovani, le loro fasi chiave e le tecniche da utilizzare per comunicare al meglio con bambini e ragazzi durante la loro esperienza nel parco.
Alla fine dell’incontro le volontarie presenti hanno potuto constatare l’utilità della formazione svolta, potendo constatare che l’educazione ecologica non è una delle ultime avanguardie, ma viene studiata e ritenuta già da decenni efficace e costruttiva per i bambini e non solo; si sono inoltre dichiarate entusiaste alla prospettiva di continuare con altri incontri di formazione su questa linea sia per i percorsi dei giovani sia per quelli rivolti invece agli adulti per migliorare la loro esperienza e quella di tutti i partecipanti alle attività proposte fino ad adesso da ECG e per i nuovi progetti in cantiere per il futuro.
Tutto il team Eco-Charity Garden continuerà a studiare e ad approfondire tutte le tecniche e tutte le opportunità disponibili per avvicinare sempre più persone ad un approccio attivo all’ecologia integrale, soprattutto nella formazione degli educatori e dei giovanissimi.
The Paths of Young People and the Training of Eco-Charity Garden Volunteers
On Saturday, November 29, the first specific training session for volunteers was held, focusing on eco-pedagogy techniques. These are based on the principles theorized and studied by philosopher and educator Paulo Freire, which include:
- Respect for nature
- Universal human rights
- Economic justice
- Culture of peace
Sister Mirna Farah led the training, illustrating step by step the three Eco-Charity Garden pathways for young people, their key phases, and the techniques to best communicate with children and teenagers during their experience in our park.
At the end of the session, the volunteers present recognized the usefulness of the training, noting that ecological education is not a recent innovation but has been studied and considered effective and constructive for children—and not only—for decades. They also expressed enthusiasm for continuing with further training sessions along these lines, both for youth pathways and those aimed at adults, to improve their experience and that of all participants in activities proposed so far by ECG, as well as for new projects planned for the future.
The entire Eco-Charity Garden team will continue to study and deepen all techniques and opportunities available to bring more people closer to an active approach to integral ecology, especially in the training of educators and young people.

Eco-Charity Garden
